We will not be direct debiting over the holidays. We will have our first direct debit for the year on Wednesday 13th of January 2021. Statements will issue as normal on Tuesday 12th January to advise details.
Please note that Subicare’s policy is to be one week in advance. Therefore, we will be debiting enough funds from parent’s accounts on the 13th to cover the first week’s fees, plus one week in advance. Please note that if you are a fortnightly or monthly payer, you will have one week plus your fortnightly or monthly amount deducted (if that is your nominated date to direct debit from your account).
If you’d like to discuss this, or would like to change your option for direct debiting, please feel free to call or email Trish in admin. She will be in the office Tuesdays and Fridays from 9.30am – 3.30pm.
Held biennially, the Narragunnawali Awards is the first national awards program that recognises and celebrates Australian schools and early learning services that are implementing outstanding reconciliation initiatives. Finalists are acknowledged for the ways in which they strengthen relationships, build respect, and provide meaningful opportunities in the classroom, around the school or service, and with the community. The third Narragunnawali Awards season will be held in 2021.
NOMINATING AN EARLY LEARNING SERVICE
Individuals – staff, students, families, and community members are invited to nominate early learning services that they believe are demonstrating exceptional commitment to reconciliation for an Award. If you believe Subicare has made an exceptional commitment to reconciliation, we would truly appreciate your nomination.
Once a school or early learning service is nominated, the Principal/Director and, where relevant, wider RAP Working Group, will be notified and encouraged to formally apply for a Narragunnawali Award 2021.
Nominations and applications can be submitted online any time before Friday 30 April 30, 2021. For more information about the nomination and application process click here
Thank you to everyone who attended our AGM and smoking ceremony, a wonderful time was had by all. Special thanks to Johnathan Ford for hosting the smoking ceremony and taking the time to further educate us about Indigenous culture. What an honour it was to celebrate the launch of our RAP and new nature playground in that way. We are so thrilled to see how touched Jonathan was to see Indigenous culture genuinely embedded throughout our service and how passionate we are about reconciliation.

The long awaited upgrade to our Rainbow Room outdoor area is finally complete. It has been approved by Kidsafe WA for use and we could not be more excited.
The teams at Childscapes and DG Landscaping have done a fantastic job and the children are already loving the space!
Thank you all for your hard work.
Subicare has joined the containers for change initiative.
In WA, you can get a 10c refund for eligible containers through the containers for change scheme. You can support Subicare by choosing to donate your refund to the centre.
To do so, when returning your containers, simply select:
Subicare Early Learning Centre (Scheme ID: C10301325)
Or, if you can't make it to a refund point, bring eligible containers to the centre when you're in next. We have a collection bin on the front path for your convenience.

Reconciliation is something we are very passionate about at Subicare and something we are 100% committed to.
Supporting that commitment, we are happy to announce that our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has been published by Narragunnawali.
A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a formal statement of commitment to reconciliation that highlights the practices we implement to support reconciliation.
You can view Subicare's RAP here
Subicare was featured in a case study by Little Green Steps WA and the Australian Association for Environmental Education WA. The study will be used in training programmes to inspire other Centres. Click here to read the article.
